Ada penjelasan singkat namun padat mengenai semua aturan tersebut. Berikut gambaran mengenai informasi Bebas Fiskal dengan NPWP bagi warganegara Indonesia yang mempunyai NPWP, gambarannya sbb :
Tanpa NPWP Kenaikan fiskal 150% (udara), 100% (laut). Mulai Januari 2009 warga negara yang tak memiliki NPWP harus membayar biaya fiskal luar negeri sebesar Rp. 2,5 juta (dua juta setengah) setiap kali berangkat ke luar negeri lewat bandar udara (naik 150% dari sebelumnya). Untuk Jalur laut tarifnya menjadi Rp 1 juta (naik 100%), sementara untuk jalur darat belum ada ketetapan.
Tata cara bebas fiskal untuk pemegang NPWP :
1. Cukup menunjukan NPWP, tiket serta paspor Anda kepada petugas pajak di loket fiskal.
2. Istri dan anak di bawah 21 tahun juga bebas fiskal. Syaratnya harus menyerahkan fotokopi kartu keluarga kepada petugas.
3. Bila pemegang NPWP tidak ikut pergi, istri/anak harus membawa fotokopi NPWP kepala keluarga dan menyerahkannya kepada petugas bersama fotokopi kartu keluarga.
4. Dari loket, petugas akan memberi pengantar untuk pemilik NPWP ke petugas imigrasi. Selanjutnya, Anda bisa ke luar negeri.
